Malmö FF Dam is the women's football section of Malmö FF, re-established on 26 November 2019 as a new venture separate from the original Malmö FF women's team that departed in 2007 to become LdB FC Malmö (now FC Rosengård). This means the current Malmö FF women's team is a freshly built project that started from the lower divisions, earning promotion through the Swedish women's football pyramid with an impressive campaign in 2024 that saw them win the Elitettan with 21 victories in 26 matches. The 2026 season marks Malmö FF Dam's return to the Damallsvenskan — Sweden's top women's division — bringing one of Scandinavia's most recognizable football brands back to the elite level of the women's game. The club benefits from the infrastructure and institutional support of Malmö FF, one of Sweden's most decorated men's clubs with multiple Allsvenskan titles and Champions League group stage appearances. Malmö FF Dam play their home matches at Eleda Stadion, the 22,500-capacity venue that also serves as home to the Malmö FF men's team. Having one of the largest and most modern stadiums in the Damallsvenskan underscores the ambition of the project, as Malmö FF seek to establish their women's team as a force in Swedish women's football separate from the legacy of FC Rosengård.
