BK Häcken FF is a women's football club based in Gothenburg that has emerged as one of the strongest forces in Swedish women's football in recent years. Originally founded in 1970 as Landvetters IF, the club operated under the name Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC from 2004 to 2020 before becoming the women's section of BK Häcken in 2021 (operating as a separate subsidiary for legal purposes). The rebranding brought the club under the umbrella of one of western Sweden's biggest football organizations. BK Häcken FF won their first Damallsvenskan title in 2020 as Kopparbergs/Göteborg, amassing 54 points from 22 matches with a +45 goal difference. Their second championship came in 2025, secured with a 2-0 away victory over Djurgårdens IF on 8 November 2025 — making BK Häcken the reigning Swedish champions entering the 2026 season. The club has also won the Svenska Cupen twice, in 2011 and 2012, defeating Tyresö FF in both finals. The team plays at Nordic Wellness Arena in Gothenburg (renamed from Bravida Arena on 1 January 2026 following a five-year naming rights deal with Nordic Wellness). As defending Damallsvenskan champions, BK Häcken FF enter the 2026 season with a target on their backs but with the quality and depth to compete for back-to-back titles.
