Published 2 min read

The penultimate round of the ADMIRAL Frauen Bundesliga regular season ended with a clear dominance of home teams. Five sides claimed victories on their own turf, significantly impacting the standings ahead of the final round of this phase.

League leaders Austria Vienna confirmed their excellent form with a 2–1 win over USV Neulengbach. The hosts took the lead just before half time through Lotta Cordes. Shortly after the break, Emira Makalic equalised for the visitors, but Lena Triendl struck in the 71st minute to secure all three points. With this victory, Austria Vienna locked in first place in the regular season standings and remain the only unbeaten team in the league.

Close behind are SKN St. Pölten, who recorded a convincing 3–0 home win against LASK. Sarah Mattner opened the scoring early, while Lisa Ebert and Ludmila Matavkova added further goals to seal a comfortable victory and keep the pressure on the leaders.

SK Sturm Graz also delivered an emphatic performance, defeating FC Blau-Weiß Linz/Kleinmünchen 4–0. An own goal set the tone before Anna Wirnsberger, Laura Krumböck and Mia Gavric added to the tally. The result lifted Sturm Graz to third place, overtaking SCR Altach.

Another home victory came for First Vienna FC 1894, who beat SCR Altach 2–0. After a goalless first half, Patricia Pfanner broke the deadlock, and Lilah Havel sealed the win late on. The result moves Vienna up to sixth place, while Altach still remain in contention for a spot in the championship play off.

The highest scoring match of the round saw Red Bull Salzburg defeat SPG Südburgenland/TSV Hartberg 4–2. Salzburg started strongly, taking an early lead, only for the visitors to respond quickly. However, the hosts regained control and built a comfortable advantage before half time. A late goal for Südburgenland only reduced the deficit. Salzburg keep their hopes alive for a place in the championship play off, while Südburgenland remain bottom of the table.

With one round remaining in the regular season, the situation in the league remains tense, particularly in the battle for positions in the top half of the table.
