About Liverpool Women
Liverpool Women were founded in 1989 as Newton LFC, becoming affiliated with Liverpool FC in 1994. The club made history by winning back-to-back WSL titles in 2013 and 2014, and in 2012 became the first English club to offer all women's players professional contracts. The squad now plays at the Totally Wicked Stadium in St Helens. Head coach Gareth Taylor is rebuilding the squad, with Swedish forward Beata Olsson leading the scoring.
