VfL Wolfsburg Women — known in Germany as VfL Wolfsburg Frauen — are the most successful club in German women's football history, with seven Frauen-Bundesliga titles, eleven DFB-Pokal Frauen trophies, and two UEFA Women's Champions League crowns. The women's section traces its roots to VfR Eintracht Wolfsburg, founded in 1973, before merging with VfL Wolfsburg in 2003. Since then, the club has dominated German women's football, winning a historic treble of Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, and Champions League in the 2012-13 season. The Wolfsburg Women squad for 2025-26 plays at the AOK Stadion in the Allerpark, which holds 5,200 spectators and has been the team's home since 2015. The roster includes key attackers Lineth Beerensteyn and Svenja Huth, as well as new signing Cora Zicai, who joined from SC Freiburg in summer 2025 and quickly established herself as a goal threat. Dutch defender Janou Levels provides creativity from the back with strong assist numbers, while captain Alexandra Popp remains with the club for one final season before her announced move to Borussia Dortmund in summer 2026. Head coach Stephan Lerch guides a squad that continues to compete at the highest level domestically and in Europe.
