Real Sociedad Femenino is the women's football section of Real Sociedad, founded on 19 September 2004. The club achieved two promotions in its first two seasons to reach the Primera División, and has since established itself as one of the strongest women's teams in the Basque Country and across Spain. Real Sociedad is enjoying an outstanding 2025-26 Liga F campaign, competing for a top-three finish. The team plays at Estadio Izan, a 4,000-capacity grass pitch within the Zubieta Facilities, Real Sociedad's renowned training centre on the outskirts of San Sebastián. High-profile fixtures such as the Basque derby against Athletic Club have occasionally been staged at the Reale Arena (Anoeta), where a 2019 derby drew over 21,000 fans. The Real Sociedad Femenino squad includes Finnish striker Sanni Franssi, Norwegian forward , Portuguese midfielder Andreia Jacinto, and homegrown talent Amaiur Sarriegi.
