The round opened with reigning champions SKN St. Pölten defeating SK Sturm Graz 2:0 under new head coach Laurent Fassotte. At Hohen Warte, First Vienna FC 1894 claimed a dominant 4:1 victory over SPG Südburgenland/TSV Hartberg. After an even first half, the hosts took full control after the break. Goals from Patricia Pfanner (60’), Denise Lueger (77’), and Lara Höcherl (82’) ensured a convincing win for Mark Dobrounig’s side.
Red Bull Salzburg triumph in Altach and move up to third
In the final match of the round, FC Red Bull Salzburg defeated SCR Altach 4:2. Greta Spinn (22’) opened the scoring, and two goals from Sophia Schirmbrand (41’, 45’) gave the visitors a comfortable 3:0 halftime lead. Despite a comeback attempt from the hosts including an own goal by Aldina Hamzic (48’) and a penalty from Brigitta Pulins (73’), Vina Crnoja (85’) sealed Salzburg’s win. With this result, Salzburg overtook Sturm Graz to take third place in the standings.
