FK Austria Vienna finishes the autumn part of the ADMIRAL Women’s Bundesliga season as league leaders. In the final 14th round, the “Violets” secured a 2–0 home victory over Sturm Graz and confidently claimed the “winter crown”.
Salzburg and Vienna share the points
The opening match of the 14th round brought a balanced clash between FC Red Bull Salzburg and First Vienna FC 1894. After a goalless first half, Sara Grabovac opened the scoring shortly after the break (48’). Ten minutes later Anna Osl responded with a penalty (58’). A 1–1 draw sees Salzburg wintering in fifth place, while Vienna sits seventh.
Champion St. Pölten in winning form
Reigning champions SKN St. Pölten show no signs of slowing down. The team from Lower Austria secured a convincing 4–0 away win against USV Neulengbach. A decisive two-minute double strike by Carina Brunold (38’) and Izabela Krizaj (39’) set the tone. After the break, Victoria Laino (64’) and Ludmila Matavkova (77’) extended the lead. St. Pölten trails the leaders by only three points, while Neulengbach heads into the break in eighth place.
Austria Vienna at the top of the league
The crucial match of the round was decided in Vienna. The leaders did not disappoint – goals by Dominika Škorvánková (35’) and Tatjana Weiss (81’) earned FK Austria Vienna a 2–0 victory over Sturm Graz. The defeat drops the Graz side to fourth place.
Goal festival in Südburgenland – Altach onto the podium
A dramatic match took place in Burgenland. SPG Südburgenland/TSV Hartberg went ahead, equalised, and then ultimately lost 2–6 to Altach. A brace from Lilla Sipos (9’, 30’) was not enough for the hosts, who completely lost control after the break. Goals by Joelle Meister (63’), Petra Mikulica (75’), and Brigitta Pulins from a penalty and in stoppage time (37’, 90+2’) secured third place for Altach. Südburgenland remains at the bottom of the table.
Linz Derby goes to Blau-Weiß
In the Linz derby, FC Blau Weiß Linz/Kleinmünchen triumphed with a 3–0 win over LASK. Sandra Mayrhofer opened the scoring with a precise free kick in the 27th minute. In the closing stages, Jana Niedermayr made it 2–0 (81’), and Mavie Schweitzer sealed the 3–0 result (87’). With the victory, Blau Weiß extends their lead over the relegation zone to four points, while LASK winters in sixth place.
