Angel City vs Bay FC — NWSL Live Score

California derbies carry a standard of ambition unmatched anywhere else in the NWSL, and the rivalry connecting Southern and Northern California takes center stage when Angel City vs Bay FC kicks off at BMO Stadium in Exposition Park. Six previous clashes between the two franchises have yielded zero draws, each club splitting the series clean down the middle with three victories apiece. There is no middle ground when these organizations collide.

California Ambition Collides

Angel City entered the league in 2022 and quickly established a blueprint for modern women's sports culture. Backed by high-profile early investment and later acquired by Bob Iger and Willow Bay for roughly $250 million, the Los Angeles outfit operates as the most valuable women's sports franchise on the planet. Inside the bustling atmosphere of BMO Stadium, the hosts rely on a fortress-like energy to dictate terms from kickoff.

Bay FC arrive in the south armed with an equally bold identity. Established by former national team figures Brandi Chastain, Danielle Slaton, Aly Wagner, and Leslie Osborne, the Northern California group wasted no time making their mark upon joining the competition in 2024. After reaching the postseason in their debut year, the visitors reinforced their massive following by pulling 40,091 supporters into Oracle Park in August 2025. That pedigree brings relentless pressure wherever they travel.

Sunday offers another tactical face-off between two systems built to push the envelope of American soccer. When Angel City W vs Bay FC W unfolds, regional pride and parity meet under the Los Angeles lights, where someone must break the deadlock in a dead-even series.
