Eibar

SD Eibar Femenino is a women's football team from the Basque town of Eibar in Gipuzkoa, with roots tracing back to 1991 when the club was founded as Eibartarrak Futbol Taldea. The team won the Supercopa in 1999 and reached the Copa de la Reina final, establishing early credentials in Spanish women's football. After adopting the SD Eibar name and kit in 2003 (initially as Eibar-Eibartarrak), the team became a full section of SD Eibar in 2009. Eibar play at the historic Ipurua Municipal Stadium, an intimate 8,164-capacity ground that has hosted professional football since 1947 and is widely regarded as one of the most atmospheric small stadiums in Spanish football. The SD Eibar Femenino squad for 2025-26 is built around a core of Basque and Spanish talent supplemented by international signings, competing in Liga F with the fighting spirit characteristic of the club. As a small-town club punching above its weight in Spain's top women's division, Eibar embody the grassroots spirit that has driven the growth of women's football across the Basque Country.
