Frauenliga The sixth matchday of the ADMIRAL Frauen Bundesliga brought a long awaited breakthrough for SK Rapid. The team from Hütteldorf defeated LASK 2-1 at home and recorded their first Bundesliga victory. There was also plenty to celebrate for the league’s leading teams. Sturm Graz, SKN St. Pölten and Austria Vienna all collected three points.
Salzburg without points. Mikulica hat-trick for Altach
SCR Altach returned from Salzburg with an impressive 3-1 victory, with Petra Mikulica emerging as the hero of the match. The visiting player completed her hat-trick before the teams even headed into the dressing rooms.
Mikulica opened the scoring in the 12th minute and then found the net twice towards the end of the first half in the 45th minute and the first minute of added time. Salzburg responded only in the 75th minute through Julia Grünwald, but it was not enough to threaten the victory of the team from Vorarlberg.
For Altach, it was their second win of the season. Salzburg, meanwhile, are still waiting for another victory following their 2-0 triumph over Blau-Weiß Linz on matchday two.

Rapid with their first victory. Khalaf makes a stunning impact
The fans in Hütteldorf finally got to celebrate the first league victory of Rapid’s women. The hosts defeated LASK 2-1 despite conceding the opening goal.
In the 54th minute, Katrin Kirpu gave the team from Linz the lead. However, the key moment of the match proved to be the introduction of Lana Khalaf. The Rapid player came onto the pitch in the 63rd minute and needed only a few moments to completely turn the match around.
Khalaf equalised in the 65th minute and found the net again three minutes later to secure victory for her team. Thanks to their first three point haul, Rapid moved from ninth to sixth place in the table. LASK occupy eighth position after this matchday.

SKN St. Pölten with their fifth consecutive victory
SKN St. Pölten’s players continue their excellent start to the season. The team from Lower Austria defeated First Vienna FC 4-1 away from home and can boast a perfect record of five victories from five matches.
Alma Aagaard opened the scoring in the 18th minute, and twenty minutes later Fanni Vago doubled the visitors’ advantage. Vienna managed to respond before the break Lilah Havel scored in the 42nd minute to reduce the deficit. It was also the first goal conceded by SKN in the league this season.
After the break, however, the team from St. Pölten left their opponents with no doubts. Vago scored her second goal in the 58th minute, while Aagaard completed the scoring at 4-1 in the 70th minute. Both players therefore finished the match with braces.

Austria Vienna enjoy a goalscoring festival
The match between SPG Südburgenland/TSV Hartberg and Austria Vienna was a one sided affair. “Die Veilchen” claimed an emphatic 5-0 away victory.
Tatjana Weiss gave Austria the lead as early as the sixth minute. Just before the break, Carina Wenninger made it 2-0. After the restart, the Vienna side quickly put the result beyond doubt. Almedina Sisic found the net in the 53rd minute before Patricia Pfanner added another goal six minutes later.
The final word belonged to substitute Nina-Katrin Pichler, who completed the scoring at 5-0 in the 89th minute.

Julia Keutz dismantles Blau-Weiß Linz. Sturm remain top
The sixth round of matches concluded with a clash in Linz, where Sturm Graz confirmed their excellent form. The league leaders defeated FC Blau-Weiß Linz/Kleinmünchen 4-0.
Julia Keutz was the standout player of the match. The Sturm player opened the scoring as early as the ninth minute and added her second goal before the break. Between her two strikes, Sophie Maierhofer also got her name on the scoresheet in the 17th minute.
Keutz completed her hat-trick in the 52nd minute, sealing the final score at 4-0.

After the sixth matchday, Sturm Graz remain at the top of the ADMIRAL Frauen Bundesliga. The team from Styria hold a one point advantage over SKN St. Pölten, although it should be remembered that the Lower Austrian side have played one match fewer.
SKN can boast an impressive record of five victories from five matches, while Rapid also took a particularly important step forward this weekend. The Vienna side’s first victory allowed them to move away from the lower reaches of the table.
