Utah Royals

Utah Royals FC returned to the NWSL in 2024 after a three-year hiatus, having originally played in the league from 2018 to 2020 before the franchise was sold and relocated to Kansas City. The revived Royals play at America First Field in Sandy, Utah, sharing the venue with MLS club Real Salt Lake. New ownership led by Ryan Smith — also owner of the NBA's Utah Jazz — has committed significant resources to rebuilding the franchise and establishing Utah as a sustainable women's soccer market. America First Field, a 20,213-seat stadium in the Salt Lake City metro area, provides a strong home venue for Utah Royals games. The Utah Royals schedule brings NWSL soccer to the Intermountain West, a region with a passionate soccer culture. The club has been focused on building a competitive roster through free agency and international signings since their 2024 return.
