North Carolina Courage

The North Carolina Courage are one of the most decorated clubs in NWSL history, winning back-to-back Championships in 2018 and 2019 along with two NWSL Shields and two Challenge Cups. The franchise relocated from Western New York to North Carolina in 2017 and immediately became a dominant force, winning the league in their first two full seasons — a feat no other NWSL club has replicated. Playing at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina, the Courage have built a strong identity around defensive organization and a passionate local fanbase in the Research Triangle area. The 10,000-seat venue provides an intimate, soccer-specific atmosphere for North Carolina Courage games. The North Carolina Courage schedule runs from March through November as part of the NWSL regular season. While recent seasons have seen the club in a rebuilding phase, the North Carolina Courage roster continues to feature talented players and the club's winning pedigree and established infrastructure make them a perennial threat.
