Kansas City Current continues to assert its dominance in the National Women’s Soccer League. In the 24th round of the regular season, the Missouri-based team defeated Gotham FC 2–0 at CPKC Stadium in Kansas City, not only strengthening its position at the top of the table but also setting a new league record for most points in a single season , 62.
With two games still to play, the Current has already secured first place in the standings and clinched the NWSL Shield, awarded to the best team of the regular season.
