RC Strasbourg Alsace Féminin is the women's section of historic French club RC Strasbourg Alsace. While the parent club was founded in 1906, the women's section began developing youth teams in 2011 before launching its senior squad for the 2016-17 season in the Alsace Régional 1. The team's rapid progression through the ranks saw them win the Alsace championship in 2019, and a series of promotions eventually brought Strasbourg to the Première Ligue, where they now compete among the elite of French women's football. Strasbourg women play their home matches at the Stade de la Meinau, the iconic stadium that has been the club's home since 1914 and is currently undergoing major renovation work that will be completed in 2026. The 26,000-capacity (expansion to 32,000 expected 2026) venue gives Strasbourg one of the most prestigious home grounds in the Première Ligue, far larger than most women's football venues in France. The team also uses the Stade Jean-Nicolas Muller for certain fixtures. Representing the proud footballing tradition of Alsace, RC Strasbourg Féminin has brought top-level women's football to eastern France for the first time.
