Dijon FCO Féminin is the women's section of Dijon Football Côte d'Or, based in the Burgundy capital of Dijon. The women's section was created in 2006, transforming the previously men-only club into a more inclusive organization by developing female talent across the Bourgogne region. After years of steady progression through the lower divisions, the pivotal promotion came in 2017-18 when Dijon finished first in Division 2 Group B and earned their place in Division 1 Féminine for the 2018-19 season. In their debut top-flight campaign, Dijon achieved a creditable 8th-place finish out of 12 teams, establishing a pattern of solid mid-table results that has kept the club in the division ever since. The transition to the professionalized Première Ligue structure starting in 2024-25 presented new challenges, but Dijon have adapted and maintained their top-flight status, driven by a combination of regional recruitment and smart squad building. Dijon FCO women play their regular home matches at the Stade des Poussots, while significant fixtures are hosted at the larger Stade Gaston-Gérard, which has a capacity of 15,459 and is shared with the men's team. The club's sustained presence in France's top division since 2018 reflects the strength of its development programme and commitment to women's football in the Burgundy region.
