Alhama Club de Fútbol is a women's football club based in Alhama de Murcia, in the Region of Murcia. Founded in 2004, the club climbed through the Spanish football pyramid to reach Liga F, where they represent one of the smallest towns in the top flight. Also known by their sponsorship name Alhama CF ElPozo, the club has punched well above its weight to compete against teams backed by some of Europe's biggest football institutions. Alhama's home ground is the Complejo Deportivo Guadalentín, although for the 2025-26 season the club has temporarily relocated league matches to the Estadio Municipal Artes Carrasco in Lorca (30 km away) and the Pinatar Arena, due to new Liga F infrastructure requirements for natural grass pitches and press facilities. Training continues at the Guadalentín complex. The squad features forwards Belén and Mariana Díaz, midfielder Astrid Álvarez, and experienced campaigner Marta Gestera. Alhama's story is one of community-driven women's football, proving that even a club from a town of 20,000 can compete on Spain's biggest stage.
