That’s Tottenham’s fourth win in five matches, along with another clean sheet – their defence is proving rock-solid.
London City Lionesses – Liverpool 1:0
A nail-biter to the very end! The hosts tipped the balance in the dying moments in the 89th minute a penalty was awarded, and Elena Linari converted after her shot bounced off the crossbar and she pounced on the rebound. Liverpool pushed hard but couldn’t equalize. A second win of the season for the Lionesses, and a huge boost in confidence.
Leicester City – Everton 1:1
Everton went ahead through Ornella Vignoli, but the Foxes refused to give in. In the 81st minute, returning from injury, Noémie Mouchon capitalized on a defensive mistake to score the equalizer. The visitors dominated possession but had to settle for a point.
